It's nice to be important...

Oopsy daisies! Just look at this waffle disaster... yikes! This is what happens when Mason's in a hurry and doesn't have time to fix breakfast. I take 100% responsibility for hungry kids this morning.

And NO! These are NOT chocolate waffles! Hee hee!

I'm sure you've heard the saying, "It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice". I seriously need to remember this quote on a daily basis right now. My kitchen has been in disarray for OVER 3 months now and there isn't enough time in the day to explain why. Let's just say, I'm not proud of the way I've acted lately. I've been CRANKY, SNAPPY, IRRITABLE, my fuse couldn't get any shorter, and I will bite your head off if you get to close to me. Not a great situation.

I stumbled across this saying this morning and amazingly enough... I started to breathe. And calm down. And take a minute to really think about my situation. And guess what??? I'm being a big, fat BABY!!!! So.... I'm going to work on being NICE!

Trust...

2010 has been an amazing whirlwind of extreme trials and blessings for our Family. As I look back on the many challenges we've faced, and even more blessings that have affected our lives this year, I am truly humbled.

This has been the hardest year since I've been married, yet the BEST year of being married to Mr. Pia. Does that make sense? We've faced MANY trials together and our friendship has not only grown immensely, but our Faith in the Lord has grown so much as well. We've had to rely on the Lord completely and our prayers have been more sincere and full of gratitude for the many blessings we've received.

I'm more in love with my Husband than ever before. I truly believe everything happens for a reason. I'm still trying to figure this out, but for the first time in my life, I have a tiny inkling of understanding.

Enough said! May 2011 be a wonderful year, full of challenges and blessings!

My word for 2011 is.... TRUST!

Trust in the Lord. Trust my instincts. Trust my Family. Trust in the goodness of others. I Also want to be a TRUSTWORTHY Friend, Mother, Wife, Daughter, Neighbor and Citizen. Looks like I've got a lot to think about this year.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am so grateful for my Family, the Gospel, my health and the health of my Family, wonderful friends, a roof over our heads and being able to live in a Free Country where I'm given the opportunity to speak and move freely. My heart goes out to the Servicemen and Women all around the world. We are mostly grateful for YOU this Thanksgiving! Thank you for keeping us safe. We are truly blessed!
