Seventeen

17 years ago, in American Fork, Utah...

A baby boy was born and weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz.

and I became a Mom. It was a day that changed me forever.

I am so grateful for the many things I've learned in 17 years.

Happy Birthday to you, CHANDLER!

Thank you for standing by and enduring my many mistakes, while I learn and STILL learn, how to become a Mother. Thank you for teaching me and helping me grow. You truly are a gift from Heavenly Father and I love you with all my heart.

Happy 17

Our cute B O Y is growing into such a handsome M A N...

Eagle Scout Court of Honor

It's official...

Chandler Pia is an Eagle Scout!

We're so proud of this kid.

He and nine boys from our ward were honored tonight for a job well done. That's a pretty amazing group of boys if you ask me.
I'm grateful our family was able to come and support Chandler. It means so much to us.
I just adore this boy. I'm one proud Mama!
 Chelse and Chan
 The proud parents
 Chandler and Grandma Karen
Oh yeah! What a handsome lil' devil.
 Joe, Chan, Colton and Brian
All ten boys were displayed with pictures and a personalized letter from the Mayor.
 We enjoyed yummy refreshments.
It's amazing what 10 Moms can put together. I think we deserve a vacation after this.

Words cannot describe how proud I am today. I feel like Chan is setting a great example for his brother and sisters. Good job bud. We love you like CrAzY!!!!!

Farewell my friend...

For the past year and a half I've been visiting with a sweet lady named Phyllis Todd. She is 90 years old with Parkinson's disease and can't feed herself. Anyway, she has become a huge part of my life. I love her so much. She passed away last night after slipping into a coma. I will miss her friendship and sweet spirit so much.

A few things about her:

She's from Murray, Utah. She served in the General Young Women's Presidency for years. She was one of the Utah Village founding board members for "Festival of the trees". She has 28 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren. She dedicated her life to her family. She was an AMAZING cook. She helped so many wayward teens. She has traveled all over the world. She and her husband Burton were married for 68 years.

And that's just the tip of the ice burg. What a great example she is to me. I know she's so happy to finally be with her husband and family. I'm grateful for the opportunity I've had to associate with such a great lady.

Here are a few of her dear friends. She will be missed by so many.  This is Carol.
And this guy right here... This is Joe.... One of the neatest guys I've ever met. I love all of them so much. My heart is spilling over right now.

Farewell my sweet friend....
xoxo forever
